Steelers name Dixon starting QB
Update: ESPN.com is reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers have named QB Dennis Dixon to be the starting quarterback for their opening game against the Atlanta Falcons. QB Ben Roethlisberger is currently serving his four-game suspension, and QB Byron Leftwich is out indefinately with a sprained knee. Dixon was chosen over QB Charlie Batch because of his strong performance in the preseason.
Fantasy Impact: Dixon not only has a strong arm, but he is especially dangerous when he's forced to make a play with his feet. Expect the Steelers to run the ball, though, since Dixon hasn't had much experience in a regular season game. He is a good pickup to replace a starter in week one if he has a less than favorable matchup.
